Cleveland GILLIS (R.I.P)
Tribute to a friend of mine who passed away on April 22, 2006.
He was an Afro-American I met in 1972 in Amiens (France). He was born on May 9, 1950 et he lived in Los Angeles, CA. Back in the USA, he started a company (Babukar Empire Ltd) and considered shifting towards the movie industry.
He lost his battle against MYELOMA, a (so-far) deadly disease that supposedly is a real plague for Afro-Americans.
For further information about the disease, please feel free to visit the site
Myeloma - Cleveland Gilis (9/05/1950 - 22/04/2006)

Cleve, all our friends of Amiens sho' remember you freaking everybody out by hitting the floor (years ahead of the fashionable "floor dancing") in the Jimmy's Club, along with your countryman Craig , dancing on the sound of Move On Up (Curtis Mayfield) and of Rock Steady (Aretha Franklin)!.
"Beautiful brother of mine, we (were) not of the same seed/Although we (were) both the same breed"!
Rest In Peace
